Phone, Teams and network
Besides your RMM and MSP Backups, CVN PSA connects to phone systems, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 and UniFi. Each one is set up in Configuration › Integrations, which also shows each connection's status, a Test button and recent history.
Before you connect anything:
- Decide which system owns each piece of data, so two systems never fight over the same record.
- Create a dedicated service account or key in the other system, never a person's login.
- Grant the smallest access that works.
- Record who owns the connection and when its credentials expire.
Yeastar PBX
Connect a Yeastar P-Series phone system for:
- click-to-dial from any phone number in the app,
- call logging: calls appear in the call log, matched to the client by phone number,
- SMS through the PBX, for notifications and sign-in codes.
- Enter the PBX address and API credentials.
- Send a test SMS to your own phone.
- Try click-to-dial from a client record.
- In the PBX, set the webhook event push to your install's Yeastar webhook address and the same secret. See Webhooks.
Store phone numbers in full international format, or click-to-dial fails on some numbers.
Telnyx SMS
Telnyx sends SMS directly, without a PBX. Replies and delivery receipts come back through the Telnyx webhook. Store Telnyx's public key so each webhook is signature-checked.
Microsoft Teams
Your clients can open tickets by messaging your help desk in Teams.
- Set up the bot's app ID and secret in the Teams integration settings.
- Download the Teams app package from the admin portal and give it to the client's IT administrator to upload to their Teams.
- A client user messages the bot one-to-one. The first message opens a ticket, and later messages are added to it until it is resolved.
- Your team's replies on the ticket are posted back into the Teams chat.
Typing new starts another ticket, and status reports where the current ticket stands. The bot only opens tickets for people with an active portal account at the matching client, so nobody can open a ticket in someone else's name.
Microsoft 365
A client's Microsoft 365 administrator approves your app once through Microsoft's admin-consent page. After that, CVN PSA reads, once a day:
- licences: bought, assigned and unused, per product,
- MFA coverage: members registered for MFA, and administrators who are not,
- Secure Score: the latest score against the maximum.
Only the tenant ID is stored from the consent. If a permission is missing, only that part is skipped, and the screen says which permission to add.
UniFi
Connect your UniFi Site Manager account with one API key.
- Every gateway, switch, access point and Protect camera the account can see becomes an asset on the client its site is mapped to.
- A device going offline raises an alert. For gateways and switches it also opens a ticket. Coming back online closes it.
- Sites are synced every 30 minutes, or on demand.
- UniFi Alarm Manager can push alarms to a per-site webhook address.
Map each UniFi site to a PSA client in the UniFi settings.
